U.S. International Health Alliance (USIHA) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the living conditions and health care opportunities of people in underserved areas and inspiring others to serve.
We provide international service opportunities for U.S. medical professionals and students as a means of providing medical care to the rural communities.
International Health Alliance is a group of professionals who have worked in many areas of Central America through a variety of Medical Mission groups since 1992. At this time we have committed our focus to the Southeastern villages of the Peten region of Guatemala.
The region resides in what is now the largest remaining tropical forest in Central America. It’s primarily indigenous population suffers because of deforestation, poor soil quality and crop production. To help ease this suffering IHA has developed a number of projects to address the medical and infrastructure needs of Peten’s people.
